Legendary Dialogue writer Ganesh Patro passes away
Legendary dialogue writer, of south Indian films Ganesh Patro passed away in Chennai. He was suffering from cancer and passed away due to his prolonged illness. Ganesh Patro was well known for his writing in K.Balachander movies.
He was born on 22 June, 1945 in Parvathipuram, Andhra Pradesh and later settled down in Chennai. He started his career in 1965 and wrote dialogues and stories for Telugu films from the early 70’s. Some of his famous works include films like Rudra Veena, Maro Charitra, Idi Kathakaadu, Mayuri and Seetaramayyagari Manavaralu.
Apart from dialogue writer he became very popular as a lyricist with Akkineni Nagarjuna’s super hit song ‘Hello guru Premakosame ra Jeevitham’. His last film as a dialogue writer was Srikanth Addala’s ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
